Collateral Damage

This protracted crisis has caused huge damage in both sides of the divide. In objecting Philip Lo’s ordination at All Saints Cathedral last Sunday, there were innocent bystanders who got hurt. Children of the Lo’s were shaken and in tears. Their innocent minds probably wondered why their parents were screamed at after giving their lives to church work all these years. If that wasn’t bad enough, someone posted nasty comments to their children in the other blog. I plead with everyone to be Christian, compassionate and merciful. Leave the children out of this.

Remember, God will judge our every action. Yes, you are hurt, angry and frustrated. So are many people. Taking it out on the kids WON’T solve the issue. FOCUS on the issues. To lash out on the kids is despicable, low and mean.

We will pursue the truth relentlessly, but always with respect, righteousness and godliness. We must be better than our oppressors.

I am in total agreement with Thetruth, as we pursue nothing but the very Truth, one must not lower our dignity to such a low level to do such very cruel and mean despicable posting of the Lo’s children.
I beg you in Jesus Name to leave the kids out of this crisis and they did not contribute to it.
Focus on issues at hand with factual facts & don’t be a loose cannons.
    Amen.

I agree with Thetruth. I really think that the person who posted such comment is really cruel. This is really uncalled for! Even non-Christian will despise this tactic. Be honourable! If you want to fight, fight the real opponent and not targeting their family members. This is the tactics of gangsters !

I agree that we all want to do the right thing. But there are ANGRY-LICANS out there. If anyone should and can put a stop to it, it is our Bishop. He merely needs to defer the ordination and seek a peaceful solution. If anyone is to be blamed for putting the children in harm’s way it is the PARENTS. Pastor PL should do the right thing. To keep in abeyance of the matter until all procedures have been duly complied with. That way nothing like what is happening right now would happen. We have come to a point where airing our dirty linen/laundry in public is a sacrifice we are willing to make for the sake of the future of our beloved Church. We no longer care what the public thinks about us. We only want the truth and to do the right thing.

I understand when everyone says that we MUST leave the INNOCENT children out of it. But then again, how sure are you that the parents did not tell them everything? How sure are we that they are truly innocent. I have seen many many crocodile tears in my life. However, I shall give them the benefit of the doubt and assumed that being one of young age, one has not acquired yet the wisdom to discern.

Sadly, the secular world may even say this that it is karma. Because of the hurt that both parents have inflicted on other innocent people, the children would have to bear some of the consequences of the hurt caused. We as Christians should not allow this though it is very tempting to agree and say I told you so.

Remember brothers and sisters in Christ, we are NOT LIKE THEM. We certainly will not lie, cheat, abuse, inflict harm, be arrogant and we will not allow negativity to stop us. We must BAND together and FIND THE TRUTH.

Ejen Perisik: I think whoever that made those nasty comments towards the children should retract those comments and take responsibility. Stop blaming the parents for the demeaning remarks made to their children.

Low and cheap tactic. I am sure the children have got nothing to do with this crisis within ADOS, they might not even know any single thing (even some adults really or selectively not knowing or refusing to accept what happened in ADOS). Leave the children alone, don’t u think it’s too cruel to them? This might affect them spiritually and affect their growth. If u are one who resorts to these kind of tactics, I doubt u have your credentials to oppose BAV and complain about his deeds.

Please please do not be blinded by anger and stray away from the original good cause. Fight the war with righteous hearts with correct intentions

Well I am glad all the nasty comments have been deleted. I am also wondering how many will turn up tonite. Let us not lose focus on the issue at hand. I am sure many of you have seen page 26 of Daily Express? I am hoping that the meeting will go smoothly and that it would be a sensible level headed where everyone can keep their emotions in check. I have maintained time and time again, I like the rest of you only wish to have the truth be exposed and those responsible to at least be accountable for their actions, whomever they may be. As for blaming others, I stand by what I say. The Bishop being the HEAD should have taken note of the objection and seriously sit down and REALLY listen to us. Not just merely talk and talk and deflect. We are not the BAD people here. We just want the right thing to be done in full accordance to the provisions and guidelines set out by our predecessor.

Perhaps it may be a good idea to suspend the comments for the time being blogmaster. After all any evidence we can directly email to you. Let us all focus on praying for the brothers and sisters attending the meeting tonight instead and perhaps to find a solution that is God pleasing and God sanctioned.

I agreed We should not involved the children no matter what their parents did. Because of our current crisis in the Diocese, relationships among friends and familly members are strained . There’s too much hurts and angers already. Lets stop it.

Those parents who have children and who want their children to grow up to be God fearing ones, should set good examples to their off springs at all times especially parents holding positions in the church. That is all I can say. I think Robbin Hood is very, very frustrated with the way things are now, getting worse instead of better. He burst out in anger.I do not think he means any harm.
